Well, it has been a busy week! So I hope you have been enjoying our new series, Making the Most. Thus far it has been Christmas focused, just so you know, it won’t be all about the holidays – we have some really great topics coming up in the new year!
I’ve been working behind the scenes at Kitchen Stewardship – helping to support our family while staying home with my kiddos! I have been a fan of Katie’s for a couple years now, so it was really great how things worked out for me to be able to join her team. She is one year older than me and has 3 kids, just one year older than mine 🙂 If you haven’t checked out her blog – do! She does a great job really researching food health topics and more.
On that . . . we almost got rid of having cereal for breakfast back before we moved. But since we’ve kinda been in a holding pattern AND super busy. I really need to get to meal planning! That is why I am really excited about what I have been working on this week . . .
“The Healthy Breakfast Book is 150 pages of recipes, strategies, and sample meal plans, including some step-by-step instructions for hosting a real food brunch for a crowd.
They certainly don’t give us a leg up on our 5-a-day fruits and vegetables, don’t offer healthy and satiating fats, and often include questionable ingredients that aren’t usually found in an average kitchen or in nature. If you feel like breakfast from scratch is unattainable, like real food takes too long for your busy lifestyle, like your mornings are forever stuck at Cereal 1.0 – I’ve got an upgrade for you.”
This isn’t just the recipes – Katie has a lot of great help and support to get you through. And yes, the key is a tiny bit of planning. Just having one prep day to make big batches of these great dishes will allow you that convenience you get from the cereal box.
There are also some great freebie recipes from Breakfast Revolution, Smoothies from High Protein, No Powder and Whole Grain Gluten-Free Muffins mini eBook. As well as some great printables and even a few homemade, knock off cereal recipes you kids will love!
So, head on over and check it out (there are some sneak peeks at everything) and if you need even more breakfast ideas, check out my Real Food Breakfast board. Also, if you get there 12/13 before 9pm EST you can get it 50% off.
