I’ve updated this post with some better pictures/instructions.
When my now four-year-old was having lots of growth spurt – which meant a lot of time sitting and nursing him I had a good time browsing Pinterest and finding things to reuse and upcycle. So, so many plans and so little time!
But there is one thing I have a lot of and take seriously ten minutes. We were gifted many disposable wipes, and these days they come with the little plastic lid stuck on them. So I kept thinking what I could do with these . . .
All you have to do is carefully peel off two lids – most of the time there is enough stick stuff left that two will stay together without additional glue. Once you have placed them together you just need to find a picture.
- Peel 2 lids and place together – use rubber cement if you need more glue
- Open both sides and place on picture framing it
- Then trace using the inner ring
- Cut just slightly inside of the traced line
- Measure and recut if necessary
- Then tape to the inside
Other than a great picture holder – I actually think putting this on the wall would be pretty cute too – you can find lots of other uses. Simply use it with a picture OR use some pretty paper and use it as a safe place to put all those little things that sometimes get lost – like screws or earrings or whatever else disappears in your purse.
Well the little man loved it! It is amazing how much children cherish things like this. He immediately ran off to show Sissy and Grammie a very proud boy!
